I started competing in BBQ contests with my husband 4 years ago, and instantly fell in love with the sport. Where else can you hang out with friends, eat good food, and win ribbons?! That started four years ago, and now we compete in up to 30 contests a year! It is a lot of hard work, but there isn't anything more exciting that hearing your name called at the awards ceremony! (Did I already mention you can win ribbons and trophies?)
