My wife Joline and I started Sauced! BBQ in 2009. We cooked 5 events that first year and picked up a 4 calls. From that point we were hooked and each year we have cooked more events and been more successful on the BBQ competition trail.
Our team has grown both in # of team members with the addition of our kids, Zoe and Zane, and in the number of events we have cooked. To date we have cooked over 180 competitions and had over 400 top 10 finishes. In 2016 we cooked in 40 events in 13 states and finished 9th Overall as well as top 25 in Chicken, Ribs, Pork and Brisket in the KCBS Team of the Year standings. We travel as a family on the BBQ circuit in our RV so it really is a family event for us. Our daughter loves going on stage to collect the trophies and tells me to bring her home some trophies when she can't travel to a competition. We are also a founding member of the Q Pine Nation, a group of competition teams from NC and GA that travel the Southeast competing in BBQ contests.
