I've always cooked in the backyard,when the kids were growing and every now and then would compete in a local comp but never got into competeting ever weekend until the kids got grown and my wife retired. I'm fortunate that my work lets me travel work and compete. We've been competing now for around four years mostly IBCA and few KCBS. The past couple years we've been able to be more consistent with our cooking and be able to do more outside the state of Tx. than in the past. Where looking forward to coming to Al and competing in the WFC.
