COMPETITOR

Craig Stanton

COMPETITION: World Open Chili Championship

QUALIFYING EVENT: Kansas State - Wichita Wagonmasters - Wichita, KS

Craig A. Stanton Team 7sopaw P.O. Box 115077 Aurora, CO 80011 RING THE BELL! SMELL THE ROSES! HAVE SOME FUN!!!!!!! It's that 7sopaw crowd a walkin' the road....... "Oh Look! They ain't fallin' down. Let's have a look into that pot. I say boy, "Boy! It starts with that first bite.......get that taste, Boy....... how about that meat? Oh Yeah! Tender goes with that flavor.......I say, Boy! let er go down....... the rhythm easy and slow..... taste, flavor, tender, and smooth from beginning to end." I say boy, "BOY, you going to want more......." Team 7sopaw grew out of a concept that I use to market Custom Made Walking Sticks and my Art that includes Acrylic Based Paintings and Wood Sculpture and Carving.......and because "Coca Cola" was already taken. I began cooking Chili competitively since 2005--a relatively brief time considering the many years of experience among many of the competitors I see listed for this event. I have won numerous time with my green chili named "Chili Verde Los Angeles" (Chili of the Angels.) This has been an exciting year for me after a brief hiatus from the Chili Trail. I have enjoyed a certain amount of success through out the summer and things really came together in Wichita, Kansas where I qualified for the ICS World's Championship Chili Cook Off and World Food Championship by placing 1st in both Traditional Red and Chili Verde categories on the same day. I thank the fine citizens of Wichita and will represent their fantastic ability to recognize Excellent Chili to the Best of My Ability! Joining me in the booth for this competition will be my best friend Teri McDuffie and Associate Chef of the 7sopaw Team. She always brings her Irish charm and beauty to our entries and she is excited about this anticipated event. Ps. I know you really want to know what that "7sopaw" thing means. Let's just say it's a number and a name........ ;-)
