COMPETITION: World Sandwich Championship

UPDATE: Well my first year competing in the WFC 2017 was what I think was a huge success. We came in 8th in the sandwich category and learned a ton of new foodie facts. We met new people and made new friends. We felt welcome even though it was our first year and we were truly newbies. My Mom and my 15-year son Zayne were my sous chefs and they both did a fantastic job. We are already preparing for 2018. We hope to be bringing more our Louisiana flair to help us move up in the rankings. I have been married for 30 years and have three boys, ages 30, 25 and 14. I have been a Mom that has coached tee-ball, been a PTA President and Athletic Club President when my older boys were in school. I also used to cook and feed the teams on game day. Five years ago, my youngest son was diagnosed with Type one diabetes. He now does schooling on the internet at home. All of my boys have competed and won multiple cooking contests throughout the past years. I started competing about 5 years ago and have won multiple recipe and cooking contests both locally and nationally. My love for cooking comes from learning through the years in the kitchens in both my grandmothers and my Mom. I am so honored to have been chosen for this great adventure.
