I began cooking at the age of 9 and developed a love for all types of cuisine. My heritage is Cajun cooking and I have used this background to develop my own type of recipes, favors, and techniques. Over the years, I have gone from the kitchen, to the background grill, to competing in championships across the USA. My husband and I have been successful in cooking several different categories over the last 30 years. We have won between the two of us: 41 Grand Championships, 11 Reserve Grand Championships, KCBS 2005 and 2006 Overall Rib Champion, and numerous 1st in different meats, desserts, side dishes, appetizer, sauces and chili. Cooking and competing is a family event for us that include our son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren.
