COMPETITION: World Invitational Steak Championship


From an early age, Chef Jeff Gebott was fascinated with fire and smoke. While watching and experiencing his father work a barrel style grill for church potlucks, he instantly saw what controlling a perfect fire meant to those guests eating at his home. While dad manned the grill, his mother gracefully baked cookies and other confections in the home kitchen and this established in him a love for food and fellowship. His childhood home in California was always filled with family friends celebrating life over a full dinner table and to this day he treats his dining rooms like it were his own home. Chef Jeff is classically trained, experienced in multiple cuisines, and also an award winning restaurant Chef. From ribbons at KCBS competitions to becoming the first ever BBQ/Casual Chef to receive the 5 Star Diamond Award from the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences, Jeff Gebott has seen and cooked it all. His love for barbecue and steak was fostered while living in Houston, Texas and the slow and low cooking method is something he identifies with and seeks to perfect daily. Rarely a day goes by that his barbecue is pit is not fired up or he is experimenting in his home kitchen. Chef Jeff Gebott lives and breathes the dining experience.
