I landed in the sunny state of Pensacola, Florida, back in 1997 from the beautiful state of Wisconsin. My culinary pursuit did not start on my arrival in Pensacola. I played softball of the University of West Florida and received my bachelors in sports medicine and exercise science. Growing up in Wisconsin, I was lucky to have such a large family that exposed me to the love and passion for food that I still have today. I spent most of my summers on my aunt and uncles dairy farm where I learned what the meaning of hard work, dedications and the rewards that come from that. After research and soul searching I decided to further my education and pursue a career in culinary arts. I graduated from the Art Institute of Atlanta. From there I had the opportunity to work alongside many talented Chefs in Atlanta. I extended my knowledge and skills while studying and touring the culinary scene in Italy. Eventually I made my way back to the Gulf Coast where I was given the opportunity to develop and create several restaurant concepts.
