Co-Owner of Smokey D's BBQ in Des Moines, IA. Darren and his wife Sherry started on the competition bbq circuit in 2003 as Smokin Clones BBQ as a way to get away on weekends from their corporate careers. Their simple hobby turned into an obsession and now a business. With over 30 State Championships and 400 category awards later they now own 3 BBQ restaurants in Des Moines, IA, bringing championship caliber BBQ to their customers on a daily basis.
