Seven years ago, we found the perfect retirement hobby, BBQ Competition. As a husband and wife team, we travel making new BBQ friends, and satisfying our creative side while enjoying our time together. Our awards include: 2009 California state GC, 2010 Washington state Reserve Champion, 2011 Oregon state RGC, 2011 Montana state GC, 2012 Washington state GC, 2012 AZ, NV, CA, WA RGC. We have competed at the American Royal in 2010 and the Jack Daniels Invitational in 2011. Darel is the "Keeper of the Flame" while Dona uses her skills as the "Mad Chemist" in the kitchen. When not traveling and competing they enjoy their home in beautiful Winthrop WA and the easy going lifestyle of the Great Northwest.
