Bubba's Texas Burger Shack first opened back in 1985, and was the first restaurant in the city of Houston to sell buffalo burgers. The restaurant is quite literally a double wide trailer, held up by concrete blocks, that has two permanent decks attached to it. Bubba's is situated behind a major highway, and below a major tollway. A small place nestled within the concrete jungle, we have become a favorite burger joint among the locals, and are a familiar sight within the Houston landscape. Richard Reed bought Bubba's back in 1990, and his two daughters, Erin Reed and Allison Boyd have been working there since they were both young. As Richard has gotten older, he prefers to spend more time tending to his garden, writing his novel, or spending quality time with his four grandchildren. He has handed the reins over to his two daughters, Erin and Allison, who run the day to day operations. Between the two of them, they have close to thirty years in overall restaurant experience, even though both are in early thirties. Both love to cook at the restaurant, and over time, and with lots of experience under their belt, they have perfected the ultimate buffalo burger. Even at the end of a long workday at the restaurant, both love to come home to their families and prepare yummy, home cooked meals for their families. Bubba's Texas Burger Shack has loyal fans not only across the nation, but overseas as well. We are well known for our delicious, mouth-watering burgers, but also for our quirky, yet very helpful, staff who put an emphasis on exceptional customer service while delivering a first-hand quality product. The overall experience people have after visiting our restaurant is unlike any place in the very large Houston area. We make our burgers the same way we like to approach life, filled with lots of love.
