How Dixie-Que Got to Vegas (Our apologies to Charlie Daniels) Well, the devil went down to Georgia; he was looking for a down-home meal. He knew that Dixie-Que, was a real fine crew, They could cook anything that could squeal. He came across Rick at the Brenau Championship, getting his cooker hot, The devil smelled that old hickory smoke, And said, “Boy, let me tell you what,” “I guess you didn’t know it, but I’ve got a smoker, too, “And if you’d care to take a dare, “I’d like to try your ‘que”. “Meet me in Las Vegas, at the World Food Championship, “Fifty grand in the pot, you can give it a shot-- “If you’re not too chicken to take the trip”. “I ain’t scared of you”, Rick said with a grin, “And you can bet we’re gonna be there, “Y’all better get ready to put some South in yo’ mouth, “’CAUSE DIXIE-QUE’S COMING TO WIN!”
