I have been cooking for over 30 years, for family and friends. Food is my passion. Over the years I have cooked all kinds of cuisine from scratch, including Italian, Chinese, French, American, Greek, BBQ and more. I started smoking meats about 12 years ago, and got hooked. I have found cooking to be my creative outlet, and my family and friends always told me that I should open up my own restaurant. In December 2012, I opened up TheSmoke (www.thesmoke.ca). My mission is "Taking BBQ To a Whole New Level". In my first BBQ competition (June 2013), I won 2rd in Chicken, 2nd in Brisket, 1st in Pork and overall Grand Champion. At another event, featuring 22 of the finest restaurants in Collingwood, I received the Peoples Choice Award. Based on customer feedback and response to TheSmoke, I am planning on opening up more restaurants in the near future.
