QUALIFYING EVENT: AJC's Best of the Big A Burger


Our family owned diner has been a blessing in disguise for my wife, Erica, and me. We are a family owned, cook to order "Fifties' diner that opened just before the financial crash of 2008. Unquestionably, the economy has been tough and it's truly a miracle that we are here. In fact, I can remember a day when there was only one server, one cook, and the two of us. We had one table that night, and we thought there was no way we would make it. But, not only have we have managed to survive, we've grown considerably since those early days. We truly owe our success to family, friends, the Pit Crew, and of course, our fans. It would be an understatement if I didn't say our diehard fans truly love our burgers. They are unquestionably some of the best people you could ever meet. In 2012, they voted us Best of the Big A | Best Burger in Atlanta. They stuck with us when we trademarked a new name (KirbyG's) in honor of our father at the end of 2012. Then, by some miracle, they voted us Best of the Big A | Best Burger in Atlanta again in 2013! So, to say we are truly blessed goes beyond words. We love our fans and community! They are the best that any small business could ever hope for.
