QUALIFYING EVENT: Scottsdale Sizzlin' ShowdownMy culinary background comes from growing up in a Venezuelan household, where everything we ate was homemade! My mother and grandmothers are amazing cooks, and I was always in the kitchen getting my hands in anything they made and learning all their little tricks. Moving to the United States, gave us an amazing opportunity to get a great education, and for this reason, I chose a slightly different career path, becoming an Engineer first and subsequently going to Law School. But that didn't stop or affect my passion for food and cooking! In fact, I learned about American food, and the amazing BURGER! In fact, at home, we would cook burgers almost every Sunday and have dinner with the family. So, although I enjoyed both careers very much, I still missed the kitchen and restaurants (I put myself through Engineering by working in restaurants), so after a while of practicing, I chose to get in the restaurant business, and have now had the opportunity to open a great Burger restaurant; BURGER n' FRIES, in Scottsdale, AZ, and follow my dream of cooking amazing food! Our restaurant is a fast casual dining experience, that provides top quality food; our beef is grass fed, our fries are fresh cut every day, our veggie burger is a unique recipe I created that brings amazing flavor and hearty fresh vegetables together perfectly! I love food, I have a passion for the kitchen, and I love people, and seeing their reactions when they try my food! Thank you for the opportunity of being in such an amazing competition by the way, the crew and team that I met at the Scosttsdale Sizzlin' Showdown are amazing! Everyone, is professional and passionate about what they do, and that makes the experience that much more amazing! I cant wait for the day to arrive!
