QUALIFYING EVENT: Howdy Roo CASI Regional ChampionshipMy first chili cookoff was in 1999 at a neighborhood challenge not affiliated with any of the Chili organizations. I don't think I placed but I enjoyed it so much that I went searching for a group that did this officially. I started cooking with CASI in 2001. I qualified to cook at the Terlingua Iternational Championship in 2002 and have been qualified every year since then. In 2006 I placed 15th in Terlingua International CASI Cookoff. In 2013 I placed 8th at same event. I've made the top ten three times at Texas Ladies State in Seguin, 2nd place at the Texas Open and recently 1st place at the Howdy Roo Regional in Marble Falls. I love to cook but love the camaraderie even more. I have a huge extended family now. Chili, Charity and Fun!!
