QUALIFYING EVENT: 2013 World Food ChampionshipsAbout 2 years ago I entered a local cooking contest and was awarded the grand prize and that was it, I was hooked. Now I enter contests that hold a certain appeal to me, I create a recipe usually of ethnic origin and sometimes I win or place, what a hoot! Last year I had the pleasure of competing in the Recipe category at the World Food Championship in Las Vegas I finished 6th with my Indonesian vegetables and pasta in a spicy peanut sauce topped with marinated flank. The next day I got to cook again so I created a Moroccan dish made with Bison and couscous. I'm excited to be invited to the 2014 World Food Championship, see you there!
