In her first year of competitive cooking, Nikki Miller-Ka is a private chef, podcast host, food writer and food blogger chronicling all things local, regional and culinary on her blog, Nik Snacks (http://niksnacks.blogspot.com)Miller-Ka is a classically trained chef with a BA in English from East Carolina University and a Culinary Arts Associate Degree from Le Cordon Bleu-Miami. Winning the Dixie Crystals Brownie Dessert Contest in order to attend the first ever Food & Wine Conference in Orlando, Florida and subsequently earning a berth at the World Food Championships has been the highlight of her culinary career thus far. Formerly, she’s worked as a butcher, a baker, and a biscuit-maker.
Presently, she resides in Winston-Salem and a proud member of the International Association of Culinary Professionals, Winston-Salem Jaycees and Girl Scouts of the USA.
