HEAD COOK: Dana Reed
COMPETITION: World Rice and Noodle Championship
I began competitive cooking in 2009, as part of the BBQ Team, Three Men and a Baby Back. The team had done well for a number of years including earning a NJ state Championship and 1st place grilling at the Jack Daniels World Invitational. In 2016, I ventured out with my wife and twin boys to compete on our own. My wife and I competed as part of Team Bull at the 2016 WFC after qualifying with a win at the NY Bull Burger Battle. 2017 brought a 2nd place finish at a Culinary Fight Club Burger Battle, a NJ State championship Chefs Choice, and a 11th place Brisket at the American Royal with a 27th overall out of 407 teams. In 2017, I qualified for steak after winning 1st place in NJ for Taste of America. In 2018, I won 2nd place overall for TOA and 1st in NJ qualifying me for the chicken category. Chicken was my third WFC category, and best showing a 4th in opening round and 8th overall.
