COMPETITION: World Sandwich Championship
This will be my fourth year competing in the WFC as a home cook. My highest finish was an eighth place finTish my first year. I plan to make that stage again this year. I have been married for 34 years and have three sons age 32, 29 and 19. My youngest serves as my sous chef. I have only been competing for about seven years on the big stage. I have won multiple contests over the years in local, state and now national competitions. I love the folks that I have met through this competition and believe that it has changed my life. This past; November i suffered a stroke that left me paralyzed on my right side. It has partly been my motivation to get back in the competition that has helped me work hard in physical therapy so I can make this years competition. I am now walking with just a cane and am able to drive again. I have been back in the kitchen starting to perfect my recipes for this year and I am excited to bring my Louisiana Lagniappe with me to Dallas. Laissez les bons temps rouler!
