COMPETITOR

Chef Anna

HEAD COOK: Anna Davis Saunders

COMPETITION: Bacon World Championship

I'm a private chef based in Springfield MO. I've always been competitive, always loved food, and always loved feeding people. Starting off with Taste of Home recipe competitions, my biggest culinary excitement was winning the Chopped at Home national competition in 2016. Since then, I've started working full time as a private chef, cooking and serving multi-course formal dinners in people's homes, and then competing in cooking competitions in the side. I never went to culinary school but have gotten my training from traveling the world and working as a stage in several of the top 50 restaurants in the world, including Maaemo, Eleven Madison Park, and Blue Hill. I absolutely love traveling and learning new cuisines--particularly Scandinavian--to bring back and create for people in my city. This will be my second time competing in the WFC and I'm so thrilled and excited about it! I love getting to be around and meet so many talented chefs. The atmosphere is so supportive and energizing. Last year I made it to the top ten in the Bacon category, and finished 4th place, all very tight scores, just 2 points away from the first point. Cheers to a fantastic WFC this November!
