I became interested in cooking when I was a child. I had two grandmothers that were both wonderful cooks. I also had parents who both were great cooks, as well. Eating out was a special treat growing up. I never cared to eat out either because the food at home was incredible. In high school I took culinary classes and after graduating slowly immersed myself into the industry. I have had several other jobs in my years but there was always one restaurant job thrown in the mix. In 2013, I met Chef Chad Combs and there my culinary knowledge began to really grow. I've been in the industry now for sixteen years and will continue to learn as much as possible. The culinary world is vast and it seems there is always something to practice and perfect. I look forward to competing in the World Food Championship to further my knowledge and network with other chefs.
