My humble beginnings started on a stool, cooking next to my mom at a very young age. She taught me to make apple pie and as I look back, that was the beginning of my love of cooking. While I continued cooking along with my family at home and in our family restaurant, I was young and didn't realize this was my calling until years later and fully immersed in a career in Business instead of Food. Over the years, I have gained experience and expertise taking culinary classes, studying, reading, watching the pros, and experimenting in my kitchen. With time, I have found a balance of continuing to work in my trained field as well as enjoying my food passion.
This will be my 6th years at WFC. We are called "Mom's" because my mom, Rebecca Reece, loved WFC, she was slated to compete in 2014 but Pancreatic Cancer stole her opportunity. Me, my sister and Aunt cook every year in her honor and memory.
