I'm from a big family and grew up watching my mum create amazing meals. One of my first cooking experiences was helping my mum with Thanksgiving dinner when I was 12. It may sound cheesy, but seeing the visible enjoyment on my family's faces really resonated with me. Within a couple of years, I was making Thanksgiving dinner on my own, giving my mum a much deserved break! I started working in kitchens when I was 16, working as a dishwasher and making my way up through the ranks. I've been lucky to work under uber talented chefs, and have had some wonderful experiences. I love cooking and food, as it is a universal pleasure. Bring a group of strangers together, start talking about food, and soon stories of family recipes and unforgettable meals will start to emerge.
