HEAD COOK: Jeff Ellison

COMPETITION: World Barbecue Championship

Pit Master Jeff Ellison is the 3rd generation to operate the well-known BBQ landmark, the Hickory Pit Stop Championship BBQ restaurant located in Evansville, Indiana on historic North Main Street. Jeff, along with his wife Tammy started competing in 1998. The current competition team consists of Jeff & Tammy, their son Cameron, Randy Morphew, Greg Newton, Randy West and Bob Hyde, along with other family members & close friends from time to time. Some of their more notable accomplishments are: *World Food Championship Competitor for the Destination Bacon Domination Competition in 2013 (Finished 13th in the World) in Las Vegas, Nevada *Perfect 180 in Brisket @ Whistle Stop Festival in Huntsville, Alabama *Perfect 180 in Chicken @ St. Louis, Missouri *Grand Champion - Queen City BBQ Competition in Clarksville, Tennessee *Grand Champion - Shriner's BBQ Competition *Grand Champion - Gilda's Club BBQ Competition *Pass Down Grand Champion - Smoke on the Water BBQ Competition in Evansville, Indiana *Indiana State BBQ Sauce Champion 2000 *12th in World for People's Choice BBQ @ Memphis in May 2005. The Hickory Pit Stop BBQ team members are strong believers in faith, family, community and all things BBQ!
