COMPETITION: World Dessert Championship

QUALIFYING EVENT: Tastemaker's Choice


Amy Levasseur received an AOS degree in Culinary Arts from The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY in May 1996. Although she received her degree in Culinary Arts, she had always had a passion for baking and pastry. She worked under several amazing Pastry Chefs, at establishments such as, The Mayflower Inn, Pinot Brasserie, as well as Le Cirque and Circo. Amy also received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from The University of Nebraska in 1993. She felt the need to expand her vision to compliment the talents she had to offer. She then pursued a career in Special Events that would encompass all of her attributes. She worked for The Mirage, as well as Bellagio in this area of expertise and planned and executed some of these properties most prestigious events. In 2005, Amy received a promotion to Stay At Home Mom, when her first son was born. She continues to hone her skills in pastry and Special Events on a personal level. The opportunity to compete in the World Food Championships is a challenge that she graciously accepts and hopes to please the palettes of the judges in the competition.
