Carol Koty spends her days creating elegant and sophisticated cuisine for multitudes of wedding and special event guests. She spends her nights dreaming up new and exciting culinary concoctions to intrigue and delight the taste buds of even the most discriminating of palates.
Carol Koty is a young woman whose passion for food turned into a culinary career in 2007. While working in banking, she decided to enter her first culinary contest: a pie baking competition at a local fair. When she walked away victorious with the prized blue ribbon, Carol knew she had to change gears and head to culinary school. After five years of working in the industry, she worked her way up from a kitchen intern to Kitchen Supervisor at The Waterview, one of Connecticut's finest and most elegant waterfront wedding and banquet facilities.
This is Carol's first World Food Championship. She could not be more excited to compete against some of the world's best chefs. Let the competition begin!
