QUALIFYING EVENT: FoodChamp Challenge - Sandwich
Jennifer Beckman won the 2011 Sutter Home Build a Better Burger contest with her farm-inspired Screen Porch Burger. Jen is a passionate competitive cook, winning the National Cornbread Championship (2011), the Crisco Mediterranean Inspirations Recipe Contest (2011) and the Mama Mary's Pizza Creations Contest (2012), and competing in the finals of the Gilroy Garlic Cookoff, the Good Housekeeping Cook Your Heart Out Cookoff, and the National Beef Cookoff. A lawyer and sustainable food systems advocate, she also loves puttering in the garden, refereeing rounds of full-contact Uno, and sculpting play-doh unicorns. In any remaining time, Jen cooks for her family, friends, and community, bringing people together over fresh, wholesome food.
