QUALIFYING EVENT: 2012 World Food Championships
As a self taught home cook I have always enjoyed experimenting with taste combinations and cooking for family and friends, but once I discovered the world of competitive cooking contests I was hooked, especially the contests where a cook off is involved, as a result of which I have made some dear and wonderful friends whom have enriched my life immensely. Whenever I find a contest that I like and that I have what I consider a good recipe I enter and have been fortunate enough to have had some measure of success including: Pillsbury Bakeoff (3 times finalist), Alaska Seafood Marketing recipe contest (Grand Prize), Independent Grocers Ass. cookoff in Chicago (finalist), National Oyster cookoff (2nd place), California Dried Plums recipe contest (Grand Prize) Aetna Healthy Food Fight cookoff (regional 1st place, finalist in NYC and national fan favorite), Johnsonville No Ordinary Burger cookoff (finalist), 2nd place after the first round in the 2012 WFC recipe division and 5th place overall and finalist in the 2013 Great Garlic Cookoff.
