WFC Breakdowns the “Bonus” Opportunities in Dallas
The World Food Championships (WFC) is dishing out more ways to win big cash this year with the return of its Bonus Bucks program at its Main Event in October.
The Ultimate Food Fight at Reunion Tower Lawn will mark the second time WFC has incorporated its Bonus Bucks program into the competition’s structure.
As a reminder, the Bonus Bucks program gives Food Champs the opportunity to earn extra cash by incorporating special ingredients, regardless if they make the Top 10 payout rounds. For several Bonus Bucks programs, a winner from all three rounds will be selected.
To compete in this program, competitors must clearly mark the brand selection used in the recipe (which needs to be submitted by the recipe deadline, September 18, 2019).Any additional information can be found in the 2019 Competitor Packet.
Please note: only Kitchen Arena categories are eligible: Bacon, Burger, Chef, Chili, Dessert, Recipe, Sandwich, Seafood.
The John Boy & Billy Show’s line of signature sauces has been in the family since the 1950s. This delicate recipe has been simmering in the heart of this Southern family for decades among the pines of eastern North Carolina. Here is how competitors can use the sauce to win some extra prize money in Dallas:

The highest scoring Bonus Buck participant in Structured Build Rounds will win $500

The highest scoring Bonus Buck participant in Signature Rounds will win $750

The highest scoring Bonus Buck participant in Top 10 Rounds will win $1,000
The famous Bloody Mary mix brand is bringing many tasty flavors to the 2019 competition in Dallas. To be eligible to participate in the Zing Zang Bonus Bucks Program, participants must use any of the following Zing Zang products: Pina Colada Mix, Margarita Mix or Bloody Mary Mix. All categories except Bacon are eligible.
NOTE: Barbecue and Steak competitors are only eligible to participate in the Zing Zang Bonus Bucks program in the Top 10 Round.

As part of the Tyson Foods family since 2001, the Wright brand continues to gather bacon lovers from across the country. To be eligible to participate in the Wright® Brand Bonus Bucks Program, competitors must use Wright® Brand Bacon in the Signature round of their category.

FOODIE BONUS: Anyone who buys Wright® Brand Bacon from Oct. 1-20 can receive FREE admission into WFC’s Main Event (proof of purchase with receipt is required).
Great Value™ Products
WFC Official Retail Partner, Walmart, has joined the Bonus Bucks movement by providing five products for competitors to use in their Signature dish.
The highest three scores of any Signature dish that incorporates any of these items will receive a $500 gift card to Walmart.

Aside from the Great Value products provided by Walmart, the makers of Great Value’s Apple Butter have jumped on the Bonus Bucks bandwagon. To be eligible to participate in the Great Value Apple Butter Bucks Program, participants must use this product in their Signature round.
