Food Truck Frenzy Rolls into WFC
ORANGE BEACH, Ala. (October 4, 2016) – When the World Food Championships roll into Orange Beach this November, the world’s largest outdoor kitchen might be the center of attention. But foodies and Food Champs alike will also be treated to a caravan of Food Trucks rolling onto the scene as well.
The World Food Championships will feature food trucks at the 5th Annual event to get your taste buds turning! Thanks to sponsors and partners of the Ultimate Food Fight, WFC will welcome six top-notch food trucks this November in Orange Beach, Alabama.
The foods trucks are bringing a variety of flavors to tantalize any palate, as well as charitable contributions. Food trucks will appear at WFC from November 11-13, and further information regarding locations and times will be revealed at a later date.
“Attendees at WFC are going to love the Food Trucks we’re bringing,” commented Mike McCloud, CEO of World Food Championships. “Each truck has a unique specialty, from smoked meats to burgers and hand-crafted sandwiches. These mobile restaurants will offer consumers the full foodie experience - sights, smells, and now tastes.”

The Press:
The Press, based out of Orange Beach, specializes in unique panini sandwiches served between warm, artisanal hearth baked breads. Some of the featured sandwiches include “Da Fat Elvis,” a peanut butter, grape jelly, and banana sandwich on Texas Toast, and a “Slow Roasted Beef and Pimento Cheese” sandwich on Ciabatta. The Press even serves ice cream sandwiches to satisfy your sweet tooth.
The Smoke:
The Smoke is the go-to food truck in Orange Beach for deliciously smoked meats. Featuring pulled pork, chicken quarters, and bbq brisket, The Smoke also boasts a variety of sauces. To satisfy any bbq sauce preferences,The Smoke offers a Sweet BBQ Bones, North Alabama White, North Carolina BBQ Mustard, and Traditional Alabama Red sauce variety. Plates are served with slaw, a corn muffin, and a pickle, and The Smoke even has Banana Pudding just like your grandma makes it.
The Spice:
The Spice, another local food truck, features authentic, original 2-handed burritos. These rolled-to-order burritos will satisfy any meat lover or vegetarian, with a variety of unique menu items offered. The Spice’s menu features exclusive burritos using chicken, pork, shrimp, and even a veggie option. Served with pico de gallo and tortilla chips, The Spice also offers Cinnamon Curlers with a Chocolate Dipping Sauce for a sweet treat.
Good to Go:
The Good to Go food truck is staffed by Chefs from Wind Creek’s Culinary team. This one-of-a-kind food truck offers a variety of freshly prepared meals throughout Alabama and the Florida panhandle, and creates custom menus for each event or location. The Good to Go food truck is also unique because it gives fundraising proceeds back to the local community. In the past, the charitable truck has raised money for Pilots for Christ, Waterfront Rescue Mission Men’s Shelter, Kingdom Covenant Connections, and more.
Hard Rock Food Truck:
The Hard Rock Food Truck is the first Hard Rock Cafe Truck in North America. The culinary cruiser is based in Orlando, and serves up a variety of Hard Rock classics. Featured menu items include a Brie and Fontina Grilled Cheese, Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich, and a Classic Cubano Sandwich.
Bubba’s Texas Burger Shack:
Bubba’s Texas Burger Shack, based out of Houston, TX, is known as the “Home of the Buffalo Burger.” With a variety of burgers offered, this food truck can satisfy any burger craving.Ranging from a Classic Burger, to a Chili Cheeseburger, and the unique Vegas Burger, meat lovers delight at this food truck. Bubba’s Texas Burger Shack also offers hot dogs and patty melts, as well as the legendary Buffalo Sirloin Steak Sandwich.
