Adam Richman Hosts The First-Ever World Food Championships In Las Vegas – Public Invited

The World Food Championships (WFC) will be held November 1 through November 4 at Bally’s Las Vegas, with additional events at Paris Las Vegas and Caesars Palace. The four-day food festival and cooking competition will feature culinary champions squaring off for food supremacy in several food categories and for their share of the $300,000 total prize purse.

The 2012 categories will feature classic American cuisine: barbecue, chili, burgers, sandwiches, side dishes, a recipe championship featuring winners of online recipe contests and a World Chef Challenge open to some of the best chefs in America’s greatest food cities.

In addition to the WFC host, television’s Adam Richman, several notable chefs and food celebrities are scheduled to appear, including:

• Nadia G., host of the Cooking Channel’s “Nadia G.’s Bitchin’ Kitchen”

• Colman Andrews, editor-in-chief of “The Daily Meal”

• Barbara Fairchild, former editor-in-chief of “Bon Appétit”

• Chris Hanmer, winner of Bravo’s “Top Chef Just Desserts”

• Marc Murphy, star of Food Network’s “Chopped”

• Kerry Heffernan, contestant on Bravo’s “Top Chef Masters”

• Elizabeth Falkner, celebrity chef on “Top Chef Masters” and runner-up on Food Network’s “Next Iron Chef”

• Antonia Lofaso, chef on Bravo’s “Top Chef: Chicago” and “Top Chef All-Stars”

• Myron Mixon, star of Destination America’s “BBQ Pitmasters”

• Jeff Henderson, host of Food Network’s “The Chef Jeff Project”

• Eric Greenspan, chef on Food Network’s “Next Iron Chef”

• Ben Vaughn, executive chef of White Oak Kitchen and Cocktails restaurant in Atlanta, Ga.

The World Food Championships will also include a dynamic food expo with live stage shows and hourly cooking demonstrations. While the WFC competitions and demonstrations at Bally’s Las Vegas on Friday and Saturday, November 2 and November 3 are free for all food lovers to attend, there are also several VIP ticketed opportunities available, including:

• Thursday, November 1 from 7-10 p.m. at the beautiful Paris Las Vegas Pool –WFC Champions Reception hosted by Adam Richman, benefitting Keep Memory Alive

o Tickets – $150 online advance purchase; $175 at event

o Fine cuisine, food celebrities and world-famous mixologist Francesco Lafranconi, all for a great cause

• Friday, November 2 from 7-10 p.m. at Bally’s Las Vegas Entrance Plaza (corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo) – The World Burger Extravaganza featuring the finals of the $25,000 World Burger Championship and the Celebrity Burger Bash where guests will dine on the best celebrity burgers on the planet and the guests decide whose is best. Adam Richman and his pack of foodie friends will all be there.

o General admission: free and open to the public of all ages

o VIP tickets – $175 online advance purchase; $225 at event (includes exclusive VIP area with complimentary bites and beverages, meet and greet with Adam Richman and other participating celebrity chefs)

o Celebrity and gourmet burgers, additional star-studded, star-inspired food and food celebrities – a foodie nirvana.

• Saturday, November 3 from 7-10 p.m. at Bally’s Las Vegas Pool – Feast under the Stars, hosted by Adam Richman, featuring World Food Championship food bars with delicacies from every category of the WFC. Adam and his friends will be there celebrating the winners and feasting on the best food from WFC.

o General admission: free and open to the public of all ages

o VIP tickets – $125 online advance purchase; $150 at event (includes exclusive VIP area with complimentary bites and beverages, meet and greet with Adam Richman and other participating celebrity chefs)

o Famous dishes and world championship recipes, world champions, Adam Richman, Nadia G. and so many more.

• Sunday, November 4 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Caesars Palace Cooking Coliseum (in front of Caesars Palace main valet) – The 2012 World Food Championship, Final Table hosted by Adam Richman. The inaugural World Food Champion will be crowned and guests will dine on gourmet fare surrounded by food celebrities and entertainment stars all on center stage of the greatest show in food – The Final Table of the 2012 World Food Championships

o Tickets – $250 online advance purchase; $300 at event

• All Access VIF (Very Important Foodie) weekend pass

o VIF Tickets – $550 online advance purchase; $750 at event

o Includes entrance to every ticketed event with all access pass to VIP area, complimentary bites and beverages, meet and greet with Adam Richman and other participating celebrity chefs at each event
