The Jelly Queens Bring Back Biscuits & Jampionship for 2025 World Food Championships in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – (July 31, 2025) – The 13th Annual World Food Championships (WFC) are turning up the charm, and the flavor, as long-time Food Sport partner The Jelly Queens returns to host the fan-favorite Biscuits & Jampionship. Set to take place during WFC’s Main Event this October at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, this culinary contest invites cooks from around the world to create a show-stopping tea party display filled with sweet and savory delights.
“We’re thrilled to once again bring Biscuits & Jampionship to life with the help of our fantastic partners, including Pomona’s Universal Pectin and Fillmore Container,” said Donna Collins, founder of The Jelly Queens. “This year’s event will be brimming with creativity, competition, and, of course, incredible flavors.”
Unlike traditional WFC categories, this ancillary contest is open to all passionate cooks, no previous WFC qualification or registration is required. The royal stakes? A prize pool valued at up to $4,000, not to mention bragging rights for delivering the most delightful tea party spread in Food Sport.
This year’s challenge is steeped in charm and stacked in sophistication as competitors will present a show-stopping, three-tier tea party spread, complete with: Savory tea sandwiches, Scones of any flavor presented with their winning jam, and decadent Sweets for a perfect last bite. Each competitor must pair their full presentation with one thoughtfully chosen tea, designed to enhance and harmonize with the flavors across all three tiers.
To qualify for Biscuits and Jampionship, cooks will take part in a preliminary online and mail in contest consisting of one (1) round, which will determine the ten (10) finalists who will compete in the Final Round at WFC. For this round, local E.A.T.™ judges will conduct a small judging event at The Jelly Queens’ facility to review all entries and determine the finalists.
Round 1 of the online portion of the contest is officially open, and entries will be accepted until September 10, 2025. To enter, competitors are required to submit via mail two (2) jars of their jam not jelly recipe to The Jelly Queens headquarters. But wait, there’s a twist…Round 1 recipe submissions must include these required ingredients:
The top ten (10) finalists will be notified by September 15th, 2024, and will move on to compete Live at WFC 2025 in Indianapolis, IN. The Biscuits and Jampionship challenge is set to take place on Saturday October 18, 2025, in WFC’s Kitchen Arena. For more details on how to enter, click here for the official contest rules.
“Donna Collins and The Jelly Queens have been true champions of Food Sport since the early days of WFC,” said Mike McCloud, Founder of the World Food Championships. “Her passion, creativity, and commitment to culinary excellence continue to elevate our event year after year, and we’re thrilled to welcome the Biscuits & Jampionship back to Indianapolis for another unforgettable challenge.”
The 2025 World Food Championships will take place October 16–19 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center, where over 400 competition teams will battle for their share of $450,000 in prize money and the coveted title of World Champion.
