World Food Championships Brings Quality and Flavor to Competition with Legacy Maker
Indianapolis, IN – (September 5, 2024) – The World Food Championships (WFC), the world’s largest Food Sport competition featuring top-tier culinary talent and focused on everyday cooking categories, is proud to announce a new partnership with Legacy Maker for the 2024 event. This year’s competition, held from November 8-12 at the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center in Indianapolis, will see Legacy Maker’s Signature Blend Prime Burgers take center stage as a featured category sponsor at WFC.
As part of this partnership, Legacy Maker’s Signature Blend Prime Burgers will be a required ingredient in the final round of the Burger Category, challenging competitors to harness the distinct qualities of this premium product. Crafted with USDA-grade Prime beef, Legacy Maker burgers are known for their exceptional marbling, tenderness, and robust flavor—a result of the cattle being raised on a slow, low-intensity pace with an all-natural feed program. The beef is then artisan dry-aged to enhance its unique characteristics, delivering a buttery rich bite and robust beefy flavor that are truly unique to the burger category.
Beyond its culinary excellence, Legacy Maker is committed to sustainability, operating on a 100% sustainable Indiana farm that contributes electricity to the grid and generates renewable natural gas. The farm’s groundbreaking efforts are moving the needle toward carbon-neutral beef production, making Legacy Maker not just a culinary leader but a pioneer in environmentally conscious farming practices.
"We are thrilled to partner with Legacy Maker for this year’s competition," said Mike McCloud, Founder of World Food Championships. "Their Signature Blend Prime Burgers are crafted intentionally to find a place in award-winning kitchens. They represent the pinnacle of quality and sustainability, which aligns perfectly with the values and standards we uphold at WFC. I’m confident that our champion chefs will use these products to produce an unparalleled savory eating experience.”
Since its inception in 2012, WFC has become a global phenomenon, offering a platform that celebrates the art of cooking through live competitions and media appearances. The WFC platform has revolutionized competitive cooking, giving rise to “Food Sport” by providing a level playing field, a fair judging system, and innovative culinary programming. Over the years, WFC has facilitated the creation of more than 10,000 new dishes and has partnered with local non-profits, charities, and food banks to support communities across the U.S. The 2024 World Food Championships will take place in Indianapolis, Indiana, from November 8-12, with qualifiers held throughout the year.
