Nikki Jackson joins WFC as Global Development Director

Cookeville, TN (June 10, 2024) The World Food Championships is thrilled to announce the hiring of Nikki Jackson as their Global Development Director, effective immediately. As Global Development Director Jackson will be responsible for serving as a subject matter expert and primary point of contact for global program development with the US Department of Agriculture, contributing to the expansion of new opportunities for World Food Championships programming globally. She will also build additional international partnerships, establishing program goals and objectives while working hand-in-hand with the executive team on other global programming strategies in-process. Jackson joins the World Food Championships from the Texas Department of Agriculture, where she held the role of Director of International Marketing.

Jackson has over 15 years of experience in international markets, with a proven track record of performing highly advanced consultative and technical assistance work, overseeing, planning, developing and implementing international marketing programs to support and promote Texas agricultural products through various federal and state programs. She has overseen several international programs in various countries including Thailand, Japan, Ethiopia, Vietnam, and Mexico.

“We’re proud to welcome Nikki to the team and confident that she’ll make a tremendous impact on our business moving forward, ” said Mike Eaton, CEO of the World Food Championships. “Nikki will help to grow our brand globally as we move forward, as well as create an authentic connection to the agricultural space with her background and experience.”

Since its debut in 2012, WFC has amassed a large worldwide following, providing a one-of-a-kind culinary experience at its events, as well as numerous live and made-for-TV shows. In addition to popularizing competitive cooking, the WFC platform has had an undeniable impact on the food industry, facilitating the creation of more than 10,000 new dishes and supporting communities via partnerships with various local non-profits, charities, and food banks throughout the United States. The 2024 World Food Championships will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana on November 8-12, with qualifying events being conducted throughout the year.
