World Food Championships Announces Official Wine Partner

The World Food Championships announced today that wine lovers at its 10th anniversary event will receive a treat that will certainly whet their appetites for championship food.

Liberty Creek Vineyards has joined the leader in food sport as the official wine at this year’s main event. The relationship was forged to celebrate food with delicious pairings of Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and Cabernet Sauvignon.

As the #1 value wine brand in America, Liberty Creek believes that everyone should have access to reliable quality wine made from the best American-grown grapes.

“We are delighted to welcome Liberty Creek into our family of chefs, home cooks and culinary teams,” commented Mike McCloud, President of WFC. “Pairing a great wine with a great dish is a special moment for all foodies. And to have the Liberty Creek wine specialists at WFC to help connect our consumers to that experience is a new feature that we look forward to offering.”

All wine fans 21 and older will be able to taste the following Liberty Creek varietals during the opening rounds of Seafood, Dessert and Burger, as well as on Saturday’s Best of the Fest tasting:

Cabernet Sauvignon — A balanced structure with layers of dark berries and notes of blackberry, with a silky finish. The length and mellowness of its finish pairs well with the richness of red meat.

Pinot Grigio — Opens with delicate floral and honey aromas that lead to vibrant notes of pear and citrus fruit with hints of lemon and lime on the palate. Light-bodied and refreshing, this wine has a crisp acidity and a lingering, smooth finish. Pairs perfectly with light pasta dishes and fresh green salads.

Chardonnay — Made in a lighter style with an emphasis on crisp flavors of fresh citrus and inviting apple aromas. Accented by hints of caramel and vanilla that wrap around the soft, round mid-palate. Light-bodied with a smooth texture, the finish is clean with avibrant acidity. An incredible pairing for poultry or seafood.

Liberty Creek will be featuring its Folds of Honor limited-edition bottles at WFC. The wine company has partnered with the nonprofit since 2019 to help American military families achieve their educational dreams.
