Famous Dave's to Host WFC Barbecue Qualifier!

Famous Dave’s to Host 1st Annual All Star BBQ Challenge in Nashville on July 16th
Famous Dave’s BBQ Teams up with Award Winning BBQ Champions to Host BBQ Challenge on July 16th at the Hermitage Location 

NASHVILLE, TN — After nearly three decades in operation, Famous Dave’s, the fast-growing barbeque franchise with 134 restaurants in markets across the country, is launching its first ever All Star BBQ Competition right in the nation’s capital of barbecue, Nashville, Tennessee. 

Hosted by the best-known barbecue restaurant brand in America, 10 of America’s best BBQ teams including Sunny Moody, WFC World Steak Champion and Food Network Star, Brad Leighninger, KCBS Team of the Year and Tim Scheer, Memphis in May Grand Champion, will be firing up their smokers and competing in categories of chicken, ribs and wild card. The prize purse includes a pool of $5,000 as well as qualification for the top two winners into the 2022 WFC Barbecue Championship. 

"We couldn’t be more excited to host these industry heavyweights," said Dallas Massey, VP of Marketing VP of Marketing and Off Premise. "We love any chance to bring the community together with BBQ, and can’t wait to see what the contestants have in store for us."

BBQ lovers from around the Nashville area are invited to come and cheer on their favorite All Stars at Famous Dave’s at 5000 Old Hickory Blvd. in Hermitage. Admission is free and there will be food and drink available for purchase. There will be a public sampling from 1:30-3pm CT and awards will be at 4pm. The first 200 attendees will enjoy free BBQ wings, and will cast their votes to determine the winners of the BBQ challenge. Attendees can also enter a free drawing to win a one-of-a-kind, Famous Dave’s branded Gateway Drum Smoker smoker, valued at $1500. 

Winners will be announced on Famous Dave's social media channels.
