The Marshmallow Fairy is excited to be back competing in Desserts this year in sunny Florida! Last year I came in 5th overall in the Dessert category with a fancy little Limoncello Tiramisu. My Bananas Foster Bread Pudding was the highest scoring bread pudding in the NOLA themed round last year and has its own little fan following here in Chicago. As a self taught culinary artist my strength is in candy confections and baked desserts. When competing I concentrate on the familiar feel of home cooked goodies then add a magical fairy flare to each dish. Raising 4 little "Fairies in Training" here in Chicago always makes for really interesting bake sales and birthday parties. Of course, I always whip up some sort of glittery fairy marshmallow wand or chocolate dipped caramel thriller turtle. Both huge hits! Lets hope this year my signature dish and cupcake will push me into the Top 10 to bring home the title of 2015 World Food Dessert Champion!
