Food is America's true obsession. Online and local recipe competitions give the kings and queens of the kitchen a venue for showing off their best stuff and competing with their own culinary creations.

The World Food Championship will select 50 winners from branded competitions, online recipe contests and others to receive automatic invitations to enter and compete at The World Food Championships.  These competition winners will prepare their best dish next to 49 other award-winning recipe champs. The winner will earn their right to fight for the championship and the coveted title of World Food Champion.

The qualification period for the World Recipe Championship started on August 1, 2011 and ends on July 31, 2012. On August 1, 2012, all automatic qualifiers from the above list will be given the opportunity to register online for the World Food Championships.  The first 40 confirmed registrations will be eligible to compete in the 2012 World Food Championships. Any subsequent automatic qualifiers will be placed on a waiting list in the event that an open position becomes available.

 

The remaining 10 contestants will come from special online competitions at JustAPinch.com (5 spots) and WFC special exemptions (5) based on criteria determined by the competition committee. All invited teams who qualify will receive a direct email message from the WFC on how to sign up and register on August 1, 2012. A $125 entry/processing fee will be required.

 

Rules for the WFC are subject to change, but all decisions made by the WFC competition committee are final.
