Share:

Trybe Targeting, producers of the World Food Championships, announced today an agreement with the WR Pro BBQ Series, which will be promoting and producing several Automatic Qualifiers in the BBQ division of the 2013 championships.  The agreement paves the way for the champions of each WR Pro BBQ Series event to earn their seat at the WFC at no charge, as well as travel arrangements to Las Vegas for this ultimate food fight.

The qualifying WR Pro BBQ Series events will include, but not be limited to:

Chubby Hubby BBQ Bash

Mesa, AZ - Feb. 15-17, 2013

Best of the Basin BBQ Championship

Midland, TX – March 22-23, 2013

Show Low BBQ Throwdown

Show Low, AZ – May 4-5, 2013

Salute to Service BBQ Challenge

Mesa, AZ – May 24-25, 2013

Holbrook Ace In The Hole BBQ Cook-off

Holbrook, AZ – July 12-13, 2013

“We are excited at the vision and passion of the WR Pro BBQ Series, especially their dedication to ensuring that their champions are able to compete at the World Food Championships,” said Mike McCloud, president of Trybe Targeting, a division of MMA Creative Inc.

In addition to BBQ, the World Food Championships will crown champions in six other food categories, after which there will be a Final Table showdown with celebrity judges performing an edible elimination. More than 400 competitors from around the world are expected to compete in this year’s event, which will again feature a $300,000 prize purse.

The WFC will be releasing more information about qualifier events on January 31. For all the news and updates on WFC, visit: http://www.worldfoodchampionships.com
