Like so many others, food is my passion. In my early years, I began cooking out of necessity because my mother, bless her heart, was a terrible cook. I was tired of eating sandwiches so away I went to the kitchen to figure this cooking thing out. We didn't have cookbooks at home (or Pinterest), I had to follow my instincts, do a lot of experiments, and call my sweet Granny from time to time. I accidentally became pretty good at it. I suppose that puts me in the self-taught home cook category. I dearly love cooking and serving the masses so when I became friends with a group of people who had a successful competitive BBQ team with a case full of ribbons, trophies, and plaques, it only made sense to join forces with them. I had found my culinary soulmates! We take it very seriously but, we seriously have a lot of fun. I have only been competing for a few years and I don't have a long list of major wins....yet. I do have a big dream, an endless supply of ambition, and an appetite for achievement. With that being said, ARE YOU HOOONGRY?!
