Loulou's Griddle in the Middle

HEAD COOK: Benito Carrillo

COMPETITION: World Seafood Championship

QUALIFYING EVENT:

Allecia "Loulou" Garrett is primarily self-taught. Years spent in the restaurant industry has informed her palate. She is vast consumer of Cooking Shows, and counts Cooking Books as her favorite reads. Her father once entertained Julia Child in their home; an inspiring and life changing experience. Loulou owns and operates a tiny, but mighty diner in Monterey, California called, "Loulou's Griddle in the Middle," with best friend and co-owner Gigi Davis. Along with their talented chef, Benito Carrillo, they surprise and delight diners consistently. Benito was born in Belize, and has spent the past 20 years in Monterey. It is this "culinary mash-up" that brings forth dishes that are fresh, creative, innovative, and most importantly: delicious. They are a trio that is quick to laugh, joke and instigate fun with all around them. But make no mistake, their serious about the food they create!
